Thank you for this topic. It needed to be said because unconditional love can turn a well intentioned person into an enabler.

For example, in toxic relationships where one person is high in narcissistic traits unconditional love can be unrequited, weaponized and used to break its provider down.

Qualities that would edify a healthy relationship i.e trust, patience, tolerance and forgiveness, are instead used to degrade and humiliate the person extending unconditional love. They run the risk of losing themselves to a taker who will suck the life out of them with no remorse or apology.
